Angel Tree Ceremony and Homicide Memorial Service

WHEN: Monday, December 6, 2010 from 6:00-7:15 pm

WHERE: Atrium of the Oliver Ocasek Building at 161 S. High Street in Akron

Victim Assistance Program will hold the 16th Annual Angel Tree Ceremony and Homicide Memorial Service on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 6:00-7:15 pm.
The ceremony will be held in the Atrium of the Oliver Ocasek Building at 161 S. High Street in Akron. The Angel Tree Ceremony is free and open to the public.

The Angel Tree Ceremony is an opportunity for family and friends of homicide victims to remember their loved ones by displaying photographs and memorial angels on a tree. Survivors may donate a picture (5x7) for permanent placement on the display by calling Victim Assistance Program. The “Wall of Remembrance” will be on display throughout the holiday season.

Chief Christopher Noga from the Twinsburg Police Department will be the featured speaker. For more information, please call Victim Assistance at (330) 376-0040.

Women to Women Holiday Extravaganza

WHEN:    Sat. Dec. 4th 10am-8pm & Sun Dec 5th 12-6pm

Come support victim assistance program! Start or finish your holiday shopping all in one place as you shop up to fifty different vendors , non- profits and artists offering amazing gift ideas. Enjoy a fashion show, local women speakers and authors, raffles, pampering corner, give aways and special suprises!

Admission is free. Please bring a non-parishable food donation for Harvest For Hunger or make a monetary donation and you get a free raffle ticket for a weekend getaway. There will be fabulous Chinese raffles for charity with Raffle proceeds to benefit Adopt A Family. Please come out and support Local Women in business, local artists and non profit organizations. There will also be a local shelter offering adorable animals looking for a forever home.
